Chandeliers

COUTURE
The latest addition to Blanka Matragi's interior design family is this more than one metre high chandelier inspired by the drapery of a skirt. Its clean design and sophisticated execution is enhanced by the niche in which it is set. The designer has also created a collection of vases and bowls to match the chandelier's design. You can see and order everything in Blanka Matragi's Prague boutique.
ORCHIDEJ
If you're one of those who are sorry to see the orchid blossoms go, you'll no doubt admire these glass chandeliers that capture their unique charm quite faithfully. Each of the chandeliers consists of several flowers of different sizes that are placed on "stems", the number of which depends on the client's requirement for the amount of light in the interior.
BUTTERFLY
The variety of butterfly wing patterns and shapes can be captured in many ways. This time Blanka Matragi replaced silk chiffon with glass, creating a series of glass butterfly wings, which she then applied to the body of the chandelier, which is either a cone derived from the shape of the butterfly's body or a small lantern. This collection of chandeliers also includes glass bowls, vases and candlesticks, also with a butterfly wing motif, which further enhance the design of the interior.
BUTTERFLY
In collaboration with Preciosa, this large chandelier inspired by an abstract tropical flower from which richly coloured glass butterflies fly out was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Blanka Matragi's work. It was on display at the designer's 2006 exhibition at the Municipal House.
